User Experience Design Flashcards

Creative40 Questions and AnswersFreeUpdated Sep 2026

User experience design focuses on how people feel and perform when they use a product, service, or system. It covers the full path from first understanding a person's goals to shaping the screens, content, and interactions that help them reach those goals. This flashcard set moves through five areas: foundational concepts, user research methods, information architecture and navigation, interaction and usability principles, and prototyping with evaluation. Each group starts with basic vocabulary and builds toward applied decisions that designers make in projects.

To study effectively, read each question and answer it aloud before flipping to the answer. Pay attention to the reasoning in each answer, not only the definition, because exam and interview questions often ask you to apply an idea to a new situation. Review one group at a time, then mix cards from several groups to test whether you can connect ideas, such as linking research findings to navigation choices or testing results to design revisions. Return to difficult cards after a day or two, since spaced repetition strengthens recall. Finally, try sketching a simple flow for an everyday app you use, and note where your experience feels smooth or confusing.
